LVUSD+ Aftercare 2026-2027 FAQs
Programmatic Questions
What does a typical day look like?
Check out our video to learn more about our program! (Coming Soon!)
What are the staff-to-student ratios for the after-school program?
For Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten, the ratio is 1 adult for every 10 students. For students in grades 1–5, the ratio is 1 adult for every 20 students.
Is the program offered on minimum days or early-release days?
Yes, for school minimum days like parent-teacher conferences, our staff will be available earlier to provide care to students. Please check with your site supervisor for more site-specific information.
Do you offer care on staff development days and breaks?
Yes, for this upcoming year, we will be offering care for an additional cost on staff development days and school breaks based on parent interest and enrollment at certain school sites. We encourage parents to sign up early so we can plan for staffing needs.
Do you offer three-day-per-week options, or can students attend one or two days?
To support student safety and consistency, we do not offer flexible or drop-in schedules. Limiting schedule variations helps ensure students are not arriving or leaving the program at irregular times. The available attendance options are listed on our website. In addition, we will be offering a Wednesday-only option and an earlier dismissal time.
I’m interested in having my child sign up for an enrichment class- can they attend LVUSD+ and participate in enrichment activities?
Yes. We work in partnership with our other on campus enrichment providers to ensure that students are able to transition back and forth safely and smoothly between LVUSD+ and enrichment activities. Parents are encouraged to communicate with LVUSD+ site supervisors and enrichment leaders to ensure all parties are aware of where students are scheduled to be at all times. Please note that LVUSD+ does not oversee outside enrichment activities.
Tuition/Financial Questions
How do I make payments?
Payments are usually made online through the Procare system. Parents can pay by credit card or through their checking account. Please note that there are fees associated with the following transactions:
-
2.7% + $0.30 Per credit/debit card transactions
-
$1.00 per ACH transaction
For tuition related questions, please email meghanjones@lvusd.org.
We do not take checks or cash.
We encourage parents to sign up for autopay to avoid late fees.
When is tuition due?
Tuition is collected monthly. Invoices are issued on the first of each month, and payment is due by the 5th. To help avoid late fees, we strongly encourage families to enroll in autopay.
Payments received after the 5th will incur a $50 late fee.
What if we want to change your schedule or cancel in the middle of the year?
We understand that family schedules and needs may change. Please notify us of any schedule changes or cancellations before the next month’s invoice is issued to avoid additional charges. Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable once the school year has begun.
Do you prorate for months that are shorter or have school breaks/holidays?
Our after-school program fees are billed evenly across ten months. This consistent rate reflects the annual cost of the program divided into equal payments, rather than charging families more in months with more school days and less in months with fewer. In other words, while some months have holiday breaks, others have significantly more program days — but your rate never increases in those months. The even billing approach ensures predictability for families and stability for staffing and operations throughout the year.
Do you provide financial assistance for after care?
